FIRST VISIT

To ensure that your first visit with us is a pleasant one, here are the procedures you can expect during your initial encounter. In the interest of being thorough, please plan on spending approximately one hour with us.

  1. PAPERWORK: Complete the necessary questionnaire and forms to help us get to know you. The doctors will use this information to help formulate your care plan.
  2. VIDEO: To acquaint you with our office and explain how we help our patients regain their health, most patients see a short 3-4 minute video.
  3. CONSULTATION: You'll meet one of the doctors, who will review your health history and determine if yours is a chiropractic case. You will be advised of the cost of any office procedures and given a copy of our written financial policies.
  4. EXAMINATION: Standard physical, neurological, orthopedic, and chiropractic tests will be performed to determine the cause(s) of your problem.
  5. DIAGNOSTICS: Surface Electromyography, Thermal Scanning, and/or X-rays may be taken to visualize the location of any nerve, muscle, or spinal problems. This enables us to make your chiropractic care more precise. Only the necessary views and tests will be taken.
  6. CORRELATION: Before proper care can be rendered, the doctors will study your examination findings. Later, you'll see your X-rays, review your tests, and discuss the doctors' findings and specific care recommendations.
  7. ADJUNCTIVE PROCEDURES: The doctors may suggest the application of ice, heat, or use other procedures to help reduce your symptoms and make you more comfortable.
  8. FUTURE VISITS: Your first visit is complete. Plan to spend about an hour on your next visit to receive the doctors' report of findings and chiropractic adjustment. Then, typical visits will usually last only about 25 minutes.
